Seasons of Faith
Friends,
Seasons of faith include a season of watering, a season of nurturing, and a season tested in your relationship with God. Despite His unwavering love, guidance, and support each season, our minds can fixate on the fear and uncertainty of the challenges that persist in our lives.
Psalms 23:4 describes a season of faith for David in which he shares with God, Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
David models how to walk through personal trials with an unwavering faith in God’s comfort and protection.
Perhaps you are entering, walking through, or exiting the valley of deep darkness – regardless of your season, ask yourself: What does He need from you? How are you helping orchestrate His plan for the Kingdom on Earth? How is your season of waiting, watering, and protecting your faith equally crucial to the test of your relationship? How is this part of His plan?
He sees you. He knows your struggles…
Being courageous and faithful amidst these different seasons is easier said than done; however, it’s not a switch that turns on and off; it’s a dial with many settings. Rather than judging yourself with a pass or fail grade, my invitation to you is this…
Can you focus on turning the dial in the direction of faith and courage a little bit more this week?
Choose progress over perfection.
With love,
Kirk
